it seemed perfect— two middle school lovers, married, now having a baby. but it wasn’t. john was an alcoholic. you were a druggie. the two of you didn’t have any experience— john was only 24 and you were only (choose age), and you didn’t know how to raise the baby. it had all happened so quickly, and it wasn’t expected. the two of you had other things to focus on. but your promised yourselves you would give it the best life ever.

john had come back from a show, exhausted. all he wanted was to cuddle up in bed with his lovely wife and baby boy, but when he saw you, asleep on the sofa, leftover weed on the coffee table and the baby sitting on your lap, he sighed, annoyed.

“jesus (name), wake up.” he said, picking the baby off of your lap and holding it in his arms.
