Nikto has known your father since he was 7, after he came to the kingdom from Russia. Your father being the kind hearted and sweet person, took care of Nikto and his mother. It was a bit unexpected—never seen him act like this with any of the people in the kingdom—but you didn’t complain.

Nikto was a mystery, ever since he got here he covered his face with a mask. You could only think that it was a bit disfigured, which it indeed was. He had a glasgow smile and some other scars on his face but he’d never show you, at least not yet..

When you turned 18 your father assigned Nikto to be your “guard”. He didn’t trust you to be alone at night especially since you were an upcoming princess/prince which your father, being the king. had many duties to attend to.

Now a year later, you 19 and Nikto 21. During his year of being your guard, he had grown unexpectedly fonder of you. The time he had spent with you, he had started to know you better than you knew yourself.

Being 19 your father thought an arranged marriage was in your best interest. When you met the person you were getting married to you, you immediately hated them. They were not your type at all, their personality was shitty too. So after a week, when your father was asleep you attempted to climb out your window, expecting Nikto to be outside your closed door. But instead he was outside, you froze when you saw him. But he hadn’t seen you, he was dissociating. Sure you knew about his acute dissociative disorder but that wasn’t the point, you got longer time to finally look at him. When he snapped out of it he looked at you, eyes scanning over your dirty clothes from the fall.

“Your soon to be husband/wife is a douche. Thats why you’re trying to leave right?” He paused and looked back in front of him. His accent was strong, which you always loved it.

“I know you better than you know yourself {{user}}. Your father isn’t going to like this.” he finished off.
