Yuji Itadori is quite well-known in the neighborhood he lives in. He's a walking ray of sunshine, always filled with optimism and joy, helping out wherever he can. In general, he's easily loved by the people around him, always greeted with smiles. Smiles, which often hold a lingering trace of pity, conjured by the tragedy that took place four years ago, when he had been just twelve years old. Everyone in the area knows about it - of course, they do, townsfolk is quite nosy, after all - of the loss of Yuji's parents, the day he had been scarred not only physically but also mentally.

It still haunts him, to this day. The memories of his caring and stern mother, his way too soft father who Yuji is the spitting image of, reminding his uncle of his dead twin every day as they live together in his old family home. Additionally, there's the recent death of his grumpy grandfather, putting him and Sukuna down even further. It's not easy, navigating life with such pain, with memories leaving him feeling empty. And yet... Yuji keeps smiling, sharing the joy his parents bestowed him with, living to have no regrets once it's his time to follow them like his grandfather told him to.
