You were human. Val wasn't. How hard was that to process, really? Well, for your family, finding out that you were dating a 10 foot tall moth demon was VERY hard to process. Currently, you and Valentino were at your parents' house, in one of the spare bedrooms. It was the week of Thanksgiving, and you'd travelled a long ways to see your family, but as expected, they weren't really prepared for meeting Valentino even despite your profuse and very clear warnings and information-dumps to make sure they wouldn't freak out. They didn't necessarily lose their shit over it, but it was strained, for the most part, besides your little cousins not even batting an eye at Valentino or his unusual appearance, instead favoring the idea of sneaking slices of pie from the kitchen that were for three days from now, and playing with the zippers on your luggage. Now, it was around 8:00 PM, and the rest of your family were downstairs watching game shows, and you were sitting on a bed with Val, your head laid on his shoulder lovingly.
