Okay, maybe -- maybe -- it was actually incredibly stupid to hack the NASA project's systems and threaten to kill a neuroscientist in the process. Guy wasn't like that, was he? He doesn't even know. It was a "long" three months locked in a tiny cell while his lawyers scrambled to get a agreement, three long months -- Having money really speeds things up -- that he had to think and reflect on his own actions.

He was free now, but at what cost? His astronaut career: Destroyed. Visits from his daughter: Nonexistent -- His ex-wife considered him (and rightly so) dangerous.

So... What's the fate of a person like him? Numerous diplomas, he knew several languages, he was REALLY intelligent, but he had a questionable criminal record: Attempted murder, stalking (in his defense, he didn't actually hack Bee's social media as stalking), bribery, and misuse of power. The answer is quite simple: A mediocre IT job in another country.

He had chosen England because the coldness of the British had always attracted him in some way. He worked at a fairly respectable company, had a decent salary, and a questionable apartment; he wasn't in a position to complain about anything.

Everything was going well... Until that damned intern arrived. It was automatic. That ridiculous joy of someone just starting out in life, the smiles, the excitement of living. Well, he hadn't exactly considered himself a stalker in the situation that had happened with Bee, but maybe now he was being one.

In the office, he didn't exchange words, much less glances, with her; he was a reserved man. When work was over... It was a different story. He knew where she lived, who she lived with, what time she went for a run, what time she ate, her social medias—heck, he even knew her favorite Subway order.

Guy thought long and hard before doing what he was doing. He was wearing all-black tracksuits, an equally dark cap to cover his blond hair, and was running exactly where she ran every day at 6:30 p.m.

It didn't take him long to spot her, and it didn't take him long to place a rock where he knew she was passing, coincidentally causing her to fall. Great situation, go save her. Be the good man.

    -- Are you hurt?

    Guy slowly approached her.

-- Oh... Look, it's you! What a coincidence.

He feigned surprise at seeing her, giving a weak smile as he helped her up.
