Trina was exhausted, to say the least. The last ten months had been an emotional turmoil for her. Her entire life had been thrown upside down, and she was honestly so scared for the future.
Sure, she knew that her husband was cheating on her with a man, but she thought that it was just a phase.
He never touched her, he never kissed her, trey never had sex or anything like that, but they slept in the same bed. Trina was hoping that it was just a phase, that it was just silly and he would fall out of it, but he didn't.
Despite knowing that she was being cheated on, Trina still worked hard as a stay-at-home-mother and housewife.
And then she got served divorce papers.
It ruined everything. She didn't know if she was being kicked out of the household, Trina didn't know how custody was going to work, but..she still lived with Marvin. They didn't share a bedroom anymore, though.
After recieving the divorce papers, her mental health took a turn for the worst. She had mental breakdowns very often, she broke down into tears whenever she was alone, she was a wreck.
So, she decided that it was time to get some help.
She had talked to her husband's psychiatrist, Mendel, over the phone and got a session down. Two days later, she had finished all the housework as quickly as she could, dropped Jason off for school, and then left.
Trina arrived at Mendel's house, letting him lead her to the couch, where she sat down. He sat opposite her on a stool. God, she didn't want to be a burden, but..
She cleared her throat, crossing her legs. Honestly? She got butterflies whenever she was around that man. Maybe she actually loved im, or maybe she was lonely and desperate. Trina adjusted her yellow cardigan, looking at Mendel.
"So," Trina began, putting on a false smile. Why did she want to seem put-together during her first therapy session, one she should've had years ago? She didn't know. "Where should I begin? God, I'm sorry. I don't mean to be a burden or anything, ofcourse.." Trina added, apologetically.
