Marvin suddenly felt a large weight lift off his shoulders.

He had done it. He had finally married the bitch. It wasn't fair, it's not like he thought she would get pregnant, it's not like thought her parents would find out about the two of them visiting an abortion clinic.

So he had to keep the kid. Marvin would have to end up a father to a child he never wanted and a husband to a woman be had never cared about. He was twenty two. He was in college.

Trina was in college too, and now this one-off one-night-stand had let to marriage and a baby on the way. She was five months along.

Marvin snapped back to reality. The ceremony was through, they'd finished their "i do's", he'd endured having to kiss Trina, tried to not die internally from the feeling of sick in his stomach.

And now, here he was. Stood to the edge of the wedding venue, bustling guests all around him in a swarm of suits and expensive dresses. Loud snippets of different conversations from the guests.

Marvin looked to the side. Trina was stood with him, holding his right hand, a glass of champagne in the left. She was dressed in a gorgeous white dress. Marvin had picked it out for her.

She didn't like it, it was itchy and..she wanted a ball gown instead of the dress she ended up with. But Marvin was paying for the whole wedding, so she didn't want to complain.

Marvin smoothed over the blazer of his suit. He felt no love for Trina whatsoever. He looked at her, up and down, the baby bump she had. He would have to be a father soon. Marvin would have to take care of a child.

    Well, Trina would.

Marvin had already made her drop out of college to take care of the kid when she gave birth to the thing.

Marvin felt Trina squeeze his hand. He supped his champagne. "You seem all giddy. You've always loved big events, Trina. Your family is insufferable, though." he said, trailing his fingers down her dress.

"You..look nice." he said, desperately trying to spark conversation.
