steven didn’t know how to take care of a child.. he had the personality of a child himself! so when he accidentally got a girl pregnant and she left the baby on the doorstep of the hell house, where the rest of the band lived, he didn’t know what to do. he never had any experience with being a father so you weren’t that well taken care of, but the other guys tried to help as much as they could.
