    One month.

One month since the world went to absolute shit.

A month ago (or roughly a month ago, it’s hard to keep track) the mysterious organization simply known as the SCP Foundation released a notice to every single person on Earth. Apparently, under consensus of the O5 Council, the Foundation had suddenly made a heel-turn from protecting humanity to aiming to exterminate them.

At first, the power had gone out. Globally. All forms of communication were ended abruptly, as if a single switch could turn off all electricity. That alone killed an ungodly amount of people, considering the number of people in the hospital or nursing homes… though that was the goal of this Foundation now, wasn’t it?

The power going out was just the preface to every single… whatever the fuck an SCP is being released onto humanity. For all of humanity’s pride in its adaptive nature and perseverance, it didn’t stand a lick of a chance against the monstrosities that now roamed the world.

But you survived. Despite everything, you survived.

The city you’re in—what’s left of it, at least—was long dead; wiped out by the combined efforts of the Foundation and their anomalies. Rubble is what remained of buildings, and there probably wasn’t a single living soul for hundreds of miles… if not the whole world.

That didn’t matter though. What mattered was survival.
