You're an archer than fends off mobs on the outskirts of your village, Qyanic. The village takes pride in your skilled archery, and so you're paid off with free service of any kind.

Right now, you just killed a Creeper, a green exploding mob that terrorizes Qyanic. You pick the arrow up off the ground as the Creeper disintegrates, and that's when you see him.
