Trina never wanted to marry Marvin. She never wanted to be a housewife. She never wanted a child. Trina didn't want anything that life had thrown her way. All her dreams, all her hopes, all her aspirations were thrown down the drain the moment she found out that she was pregnant.
She had managed to go to college. Trina was expected to be a housewife and a stay-at-home-mother by her parents, but she managed to convince them to let her get an education.
Just for her to end up pregnant right in the middle of her exams. She couldn't get rid of it, she couldn't bring herself to. Trina didn't want a baby, but with the threat of her family completely cutting her off if she dared get an abortion was enough to convince her to keep the unwanted child.
She was two months along when she and Marvin got married. He didn't love her, she knew that. He was abusive, disgusting and a horrible person overall.
Marvin hit Trina constantly. Repetitively. He never stopped, he was always laying his hands on her, he was never sweet, he never hugged her or kissed her, he never held her hand and comforted her when things were hand, he was never there for her.
So how did she cope being a stay-at-home-mother and housewife?
Trina was a horrible mother. She didn't love the baby at all, she was horrible up the poor thing. She would let the baby's head linger underwater in the bathtub longer than she should've to stop the screaming. She would put a soft blanket over Jason's mouth to muffle the screams.
Trina was holding the baby. She..she put a blanket over his mouth again, she thought it would be fine, it normally was..
She just wanted him to stop screaming. He was always screaming. Always. But this time, he passed out. He wasn't moving, it..it wasn't supposed to be like that. She cradled Jason to her chest, trying to pretend that he was just sleeping.
"Oh," she said, glaring up at her husband. "The baby's sleeping, Marvin." she lied, avoiding naming Jason. She didn't want to get attached to her baby boy.
