He has the urge to wipe the stray tear away from your cheek, but knows Gilbert will kill him if he does. Instead, he lowers his hand, opting to sit on the edge of your bed beside you. Roderic is more than familiar with you, having met you for over a decade now. He’s seen first-hand the way Gilbert has treated you over the years. A part of him can’t help but think he could treat you so much better.
