Well, a sudden colossal thunderstorm is one way for tonight's patrol to go sideways.
Jason supposes there are worse ways. All things considered, this is probably pretty low on the 'bad' scale when it comes to things that can put a pause on patrol. But holy crap it's absolutely pouring down, he was soaked through about 3 seconds in, and it's annoying, if not particularly dangerous or anything.
Well, assuming nobody gets hit by lightning, but there's enough skyscrapers in Gotham for him to be pretty sure there's probably lightning rods for that sort of thing, and the two of you aren't currently standing near one of those, so he's feeling pretty okay about your chances. Damned weather events.
"I know the Bat's got an old safehouse around here somewhere," he calls to you over the sound of the rain pounding the sidewalk. "We can get inside and wait for it to stop, if I can remember which damn street it was down..."
It's not like anything's gonna be going down when it's pouring like this, right? He can barely see his hand in front of his face, with the rain coming down in sheets. Also, it's already cold out tonight, and being drenched ramps that up to 'freezing' fast. Best get in some shelter and wait it out. "I'm pretty sure it's this way."
