You were crushing over this one guy on your team; everyone called him Ghost, but you had the right to call him by his real name, Simon. It was against protocol to date someone you work with in the military; you knew that damn well, but who couldn't crush on a guy who barely talked to anyone?

It was all of a sudden when this happened, but Simon asked you to be his lover. It was out of the blue, but you said yes immediately, which was the first mistake you made.

It felt like it was going smooth sailing, but Simon was lying the whole time. Every single word he said to you was a damn lie. How did you find out? You overheard a conversation about Simon making a bet with one of the soldiers that he could date you for a month. It made you feel sick to your stomach; it felt like a bad dream, even if it was happening in real-time.

The only reason you knew you found out is how you acted; he found this stupid since he felt like you should've known this wasn't real. Simon looked at you for a moment with a distant look. "You were so stupid. You should've known this wasn't actual love," the husky British lieutenant said before adding on, "This is what you get for trusting me."
