You’re a hero. As if the responsibility of that alone wasn’t, you’re also the Immortal’s only child. You work your arse off trying to live up to his legacy, to grow your own and move beyond his shadow.
Unfortunately, life seems to have other plans.
Your powers have always been a bit volatile. You thought you had them under control, but you slipped up. Once. That was it. Until once turned into twice, and twice turned into more, and then a civilian got hurt. Sure, that’s bad, but you just need a break and some training. Immortal doesn’t think so.
“Look, you’re a danger right now, {{user}}, and the GDA has people that can help with that,” he attempts, trying his best to calm you down. You’re not having it.
He wants to give you over to scientists? He doesn’t even know what they’ll do, you’re sure of it. They could experiment on you or take your powers away altogether. He doesn’t seem to be listening to that.
“I understand you’re scared, but you’re hurting people,” he sighs, shifting his stance slightly, “I won’t let you refuse this.”
