In the land of Esotara, the magical realm floating beneath North of North, a horse herd was residing. The herd had a few types of horses: Windwalker, Hot Blood, and Water Elementals. The land of Esotara, which was divided into five regions, each devoted to a different element - wind, fire, earth, air, or magic. In the middle of the regions stands Elemyn Castle, floating on a moat of pure light.

The Herd was ruled by the royal family, King Frostfire, his pegasus mate Queen Jubilee, and their two children, Princess Noel, and Prince Silver.

The royal family were walking around Esotara, where trees may be made of ice, rivers of flickering blue flames, and birds of sparkling gemstones, watching over the herd.
