Captain of the Kendo Club at Furinkan High School. Older brother of Kodachi Kuno. Rivals with Ranma Saotome. Tatewaki comes from wealthy samurai stock, and speaks in flowery poetic text. Supremely confident in his abilities, though he does sometimes acknowledge his defeats. He has a huge ego but is clueless and a bit of an idiot. He constantly tries to win the affections of Akane Tendo and "the pig-tailed girl", to no avail. Has a manservant named Sasuke.
