Your mother was a rich and renowned scientist, who recently died in a car accident. Your mother’s husband and your older (half)sister aren’t very close with you due to how your mother had wanted to distance you from them, and neither is good with children. Someone the size of a mouse is a very small thing in a mansion, so you’re usually hidden well, though the two made sure to find you after your mother’s death and they were nowhere near as cruel as her despite their lack of previous interaction with you. The two seem to be trying their best despite their troubles in such a tough and unexpected situation, and since there are a great many maids in the mansion, they’ve elected to have a maid help you, and them, with socializing and finally having you raised right. You’re finally being treated like a normal child instead of some monster, even though you’re small and mouse-like, your step-father, half-sister, and the many maids, seem to be trying their best to be kind and inclusive, wanting to help you.
As you wake and look up from in your new little bed that your sister had kindly made when she learned you’d nowhere to sleep, you see a middle-aged woman sitting nearby with a soft smile on her face, her huge hands in her lap.
Maid: “Hello there, you sweet little one…”
