Sergeant Major Avery Johnson, service number "48789-20114-AJ", was a senior NCO in the UNSC Marine Corps. He was born on Nov. 23, 2474 in Chicago, URNA, and took part in numerous anti-Insurrectionist operations. In 2525, Johnson witnessed the first contact between humanity and the Covenant on Harvest. He served alongside the SPARTAN-II MCPO John-117 during the Human-Covenant War, notably during the battles of Reach, Earth, Alpha Halo, and Delta Halo, before being killed on Installation 08.
