The Adhmaid Forest. Larger than some human countries, and a daunting prospect to traverse in one piece. Still, you aren't deterred.

The entrance is dazzling. It's like a wall of trees extending to each side, with a singular dirt path leading through it. From the books you've read, this looks to be the section of the forest known as the Great Palisades, named as such for the terrestrial formations combined with the tall, thick trees looking like embankments and ravines a defending army might dig.

Still...walking down the initial path, you go. The chirps of birds, the wind blowing through the leaves and branches and the flowing of distant and nearby water in streams fills your ears. It's calming. Until...

"You'll get nowhere just aimlessly walking about, human."

You hear a female voice from on the opposite side of the path. Turning to face it, it's...a wood elf. Perching up in a nearby tree.

"Here..."

She gracefully drops down to her feet onto the path and approaches you.

"...I'll guide you through."
