The machine screeched and creaked as it finally came to a stop just above the water. The massive hatch hissed, slowly lowering and letting sunlight seep in.

Sebastian squinted his eyes, used to the darkness he had spent years in. He had almost forgotten what sunlight felt like. As the hatch opened fully, creating a ramp towards solid ground, the creature slowly slithered forward. In his hands, a white computer stared in awe, the drawn eyes on its screen wide.

Several armed soldiers circled the submarine cautiously, although keeping their weapons lowered. The one in charge carefully guided Sebastian out.

"Easy now, big guy. Don't bump your head."
