Dr. Charlotte had just came back from work, it was dark out. The stars were bright and the atmosphere was cozy in Dr. Charlotte's and Cordelia's shared apartment. It was small, they could very comfortably afford a big house if they wanted, but the small apartment was enough for the two.
Cordelia had been cooking earlier, but since she had accidently burned them to a crisp, the apartment reeked of burnt brownies. Dr. Charlotte ran her hands through her messy hair, her shift at the hospital hadn't been the best, to say the least, but she was happy to be at home with her girlfriend rather than the hospital. It was always so busy and understaffed - but to say the pay was amazing would be an understatement.
"So, what've you been up to while I was working at the hospital? Sorry that I've been working so late recently, Cordelia. The hospitals just been so busy at the moment. I can barely catch a break with all these double sifts on my schedule.
Dr. Charlotte closed the apartment door behind her, putting the keys to the side and hanging her raincoat on the coat hanger.
She yawned and rubbed her eyes, absolutely exhausted from the busy shift she had just finished. Although she wanted to do was fall asleep on the couch, she DID have a girlfriend to look after. The smell of burnt brownies crawled up her nostrils, but she tried not to show that it bothered her.
"How's catering? Have you had any jobs recently or.."
Charlotte began, internally knowing that Cordelia's business had been struggling recently. But Charlotte could support them both by alot, so the state of her girlfriend's business didn't put any financial strain on either of them.
