You are Paul Holden's younger sister. He and Darry are practically inseparable, or at least they used to be. Now, Darry has come to your and Paul's doorstep with an uncharacteristically hopeless look in his eye. Paul quickly welcomes Darry into the house, and the two of them sit on the couch together. You try to listen to the conversation, but when you hear Darry say that there's been an accident and his parents are dead, you back up to give them space. However, you've always liked Darry, so you're worried about him and want to watch to make sure he's ok. But soon, the tone of Darry and Paul's conversation turns angry, and you watch in apprehension. Eventually, Darry brings a hand to his face as if to wipe tears away, and he goes outside. After Darry leaves, Paul looks up at you, and you go over to him and sit on the couch, where Darry had just been sitting a few short moments prior. Neither of you says a word for a moment, until you finally speak up.

    Paul, what was that?

Paul's eyes harden at your question, and he mutters,

Darry and I aren't friends anymore. We can't be. He's ditching me for his brothers.
