While Ash is sitting alone in the woods, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie and Pikachu are worried. Joy's sister reports that Greninja is missing, so Serena suspects he most likely went after Ash. In truth, Greninja is sitting in a tree, as he was very angry at Ash for leaving him. Serena runs into the winding forest to find Ash. Bonnie wonders if Ash will come back, although Clemont has no doubt about it. Some Pokemon are watching Ash, who is trying to pull himself together. Pikachu touches Ash's pokeballs, which he left behind, releasing Neuvern, Talonflame and Hauluch. Pikachu says what happened, although Haulucha runs away to punch through a tree, causing snow to fall on him. Bonnie wonders where Serena is, who is running through the woods. The R team is watching Ash and seeing him alone looking at the sky, they plan to kidnap Pikachu. Greninja, however, thinks about his battles with Sawyer's Septile and Wulfric's Avalugg, which ended in defeat, and tries to get rid of this feeling.
