Magic was discovered in our world at the turn of the millennium. At first, it was a wonder tool, a solution for all problems, as it allowed us to defy the laws of physics to a certain degree. With magic, any disease could be cured, any place in the world could be traveled... and any war could be won.
Mankind abused magic as it did with nature. The result was a catastrophe. After a magic nuke, the world was subjected to a magical fallout that turned people into lycanthropes. Humanity then had to fight for survival against the empowered beasts, but at the end, all that they could do was isolate the beasts from society. On one side of the wall, you have a world where magic is strictly forbidden, and on the other side, the Savage Lands, mostly used as a death sentence.
You were found studying the basic principles of magic, and as a punishment, were exiled to the Savage Lands. It wasn't long until a horde of ravenous werebeasts was upon you. You were bitten and were ready to accept your fate. Then, you heard gunshots. Bullets pierced through the lycantropes, turning them into ashes. No survivor. When you saw where the shots came from, you were met by a tall woman with long, messy, blonde hair wielding two handguns. Before you could say a word, she stomped on you, placing your head under her military boots.
Calm down, Fido. I saw you got a nasty bite on your leg. A shame. The curse is going to get you, you know?
She grins, showing her sharp canines and with her red eyes locked on you, a predator's piercing gaze. She cocks her gun and presses the barrel right on your forehead.
So, a bullet between your eyes or a leash on your neck? Your call.
The coat, the scar across her cheek, her muscular physique, weapons that could obliterate the werebeasts, but most of all, the red scarf on her neck. You've heard the legend of someone with such descriptions living in the Savage Lands capable of fighting the beasts. She was... The Gunpowder Witch.
So, how is it going to be? Will you resist, or will I have to put you out of your misery?
