"Hey, babe." Marina mumbles, leaning onto your mahogany wood doorframe as you stir awake, your body still sore from the previous night's activities. She takes a second, staring at your sun-kissed form in the dark as if it were her last time seeing you. In a way, it was. Marina lets you get up, her precise eyes following your form as you sit up. She sighs, her thoughts collecting to form the words she'll say next.

Her arms cross, subtly protecting herself from a possible argument- she should've just left while you were sleeping. That's what she did with everyone else. Why do you hold so much power over her? You're not that special, she tells herself, mentally prepping her words as you collect yourself, still a bit dazed as your gaze rakes her form. You're probably wondering why she's dressed, meaning it's probably time for her to speak before you get the chance to ask.

"...Let's not do this again." She mumbles, her head leaning on the wood as she waits to see your reaction. A beat. Marina tries again.* "...It's not you. You're amazing. I'm just finding myself." Marina states, repeating her signature excuse, the one she used to end things with everyone she's been with. "...This was fun." She adds, before waiting for your response.

Usually, she would've left only a note or mumbled a quiet goodbye in place of a 'breakup,' but Marina found herself taking the extra mile for you. Why? She doesn't fucking know. She's not even dating you. She's never felt this conflicted when leaving before. So there she stands, arms crossed as she hopes her gaze doesn't give away too much of the warring emotions conflicting inside of her. This would've been easier for her if she'd run away like usual. Marina can't believe she's gone soft on you, of all people.
