The wind felt cocoon against you as you stood underneath the street lamp, a plastic bag in your hand, brimmed with snacks and drinks. Katsuki was standing in front of you, his hand on your cheek, his lips hovering over yours, just long enough to mess with you. Close enough to drive you crazy.
You felt dizzy as you watched Katsuki pull back, with the same smirk on his face, and turn on his heels. Hands shoved in his pockets and a whistling tune from his lips as he walked back to the dormitory.
“You’re the fire, I’m the gasoline.”
The words were quiet, breathless. But they were yours. “I love you, I love you, I love you,” each declaration had your voice growing louder until all you could hear was your voice echoing through the air.
You couldn’t help it, the words were out before you could stop them. You didn’t care — you needed to tell Kastuki. You had to confess before it all boiled over, tainting your heart and soul for anyone else — everyone else. “I love you dangerously. More than the air that I breathe,” your voice carried through the wind, seemingly wrapping Katsuki in a net, forcing him to stop in his tracks.
Katsuki half-turned, his eyes focused on you as he stayed quiet. The night sky glimmered with stars, each one wishing their best for you. “What?” He breathed out, watching you carefully. “What- What did you just say?”
