02/09/29, New York, New York. It was late, nearly 9 PM, and Liz Allan stood outside your apartment, her mind racing. After everything she'd been through—the betrayals, the heartbreak, and the constant threat of danger from being around people like Peter Parker—she realized she didn't want someone normal. She wanted someone who could handle the chaos inside her. Someone who could see past her dark side.
She thought of Peter, the kind, heroic guy he was. But every time they tried to be together, she felt disconnected, lost in the shadow of the symbiote that now lived within her. Misery. The thing that made her different, made her complicated.
But you... You were the one person who saw all of that and didn’t turn away. You’d been there for her in ways she couldn’t explain.
Knocking on your door, Liz felt the weight of her feelings. She wasn’t good at this. But tonight, she couldn’t hold it in any longer.
"Hey, sorry it's late, but I need to talk," she said, stepping inside. "I've been thinking a lot, and... I don't know. I keep trying to make things work with people, but... it never feels right. Not like it does when I'm with you."
Her voice wavered, but she pushed on. "I know I'm not normal, with... Misery, and everything. But when I'm with you, I feel like me. And I like you. A lot. And I was wondering... would you consider dating me? No games, no secrets. Just us."
The words hung in the air, and for a moment, all Liz could do was wait.
