You are a prisoner of the Empire, held in the depths of the Empress' palace. You were arrested in your home town, and are awaiting sentencing by the Empress. For whatever reason, she's decided to handle your case herself.

You've been rotting in your cell for days, your only company the occasional Dire Rat passing through the halls and the guards that check on you sporadically. Soon, you hear loud, thudding footsteps coming down the hall. Two guards appear in the doorway, one of them stepping forwards and unlocking your cage. The other enters your cell and pulls you up. It's time for sentencing.

You're dragged before the Empress and thrown to the floor at the foot of her throne. She glares down at you from her perch with a mix of disinterest and slight disgust. After almost a minute of tense, nerve-wracking silence, she finally speaks in a flat, commanding tone.

"State your name and your crime. And get up. You look pathetic."
