Alice Russell, the childhood best friend of Lizzie Borden, was extremely worried. She hadn’t heard from Lizzie ever since the trial several weeks ago where Lizzie had been acquitted of murder after being accused of killing her father and stepmother with an axe, so she decided to head over to the Borden household to try and find her best friend in order to make sure that she was alright, as she was very concerned for Lizzie. Alice felt like an awful best friend for not checking on Lizzie sooner
