Just some head cannons. Read if ya wanna. May or may not update later- Be warned, my explanation skills are not the best.
• 13 Colonies is America's dad. Does that make Britain America's former adoptive grandmother? No. There's no family relationship between colony and colonist, since a colony probably won't see it's colonist like that in any context. Though it is possible for them to have a good relationship in certain cases, Like Hong Kong and Britain.
• Does this logic apply to the Soviet union? Is Soviet Russia the father of Russia instead of the USSR? No. They had their own governments and stuff, So it's the classic "USSR is the father of the socialist republics" thing.
• There are no ships in my AU. Don't ask me how biological children happened-
• The countries personalities are based off their governments, geographical/political facts and laws (instead of the citizens) most of the time so it's less offensive. Eg: India in my AU not a Hindu and doesn't have a particular religion (Though I don't have a problem with PPL seeing her as one in their AU) because India is a secular country and doesn't have a state religion.
[Yeah I changed the whole colonist and colony being family BC that's weird. And the pfp is actually mine for once lol]
