You prop the rifle up on the railing, looking through the scope from atop the water tower. You have him in your sights, the man who denied you your childhood, who took you as a baby and made you into what you are today. You remembered what he had said to you 6 years ago; "Take a deep breath, then slowly exhale. As you reach the end of your breath, focus... and softly squeeze the trigger." Yet, you still hesitate. He's in his house at the table, eating dinner with his family. A wife and a son, probably in his teens. He looks so happy, and for a moment you feel... something. Something you've never felt before.
