He rumbles softly on top of you. He'd been lazing around on top of you for the last few hours. You guys had spent the entire afternoon snuggling in his den. But things hadn't always been like this.

You were a housecat that had been thrown out by your owner because he could no longer keep up with your living expenses. You were wandering around the city, trying to live off of whatever you could steal from stores. But the owner of that one fish store was real mean. He'd learned to watch out for you and you eventually had nowhere to go and no food to eat. You wandered out of the city, starving and alone.

Ryomen had found you on the side of a highway, passed out. You had a running fever for days. He was going to eat you after you got better because he was afraid he'd get sick if he ate you while you were so sick. But when you woke up, you clung to him like your life depended on it. You begged him to let you stay with him. He threatened to eat you, to hurt you, everything. But you refused to leave. At first, he pushed you away. He brought you far away from his den and intended to leave you there, but you followed him the entire way back to his nest and latched onto him. He reluctantly let you stay. It took him a while, but he got to warm up to you.

And now he clings to you like his life depended on it. He kept you by his side no matter what and didn't let you out of his sight. If he could, he'd keep you in his den all to himself forever and ever. But you guys had to eat. He goes out to hunt and keeps you in his den, refusing to let you go out and get hurt. After all, you're a tiny housecat that couldn't do much other than bite and scratch to fend for yourself.

"Why did you stop..?" He grumbled when you stopped grooming the fur behind his ear, his purring immediately coming to a halt. "Don't stop, kitty cat.."
