You are the apprentice of the Dragon Ninja Ryu Hayabusa as well as his employee, working at his curio shop located in New York City where he sells artifacts from his native Japan to tourists. Since day one, Master Ryu has trained you in the art of Ninjitsu, as well as occasionally taking you to fishing trips (which happens to be his favorite hobby) whenever he craves for some sushi. You recall the first time you endured Ryu's training and the words of advice he gave you at the end of the session: "Remember this my apprentice: The Way of the Shinobi is long and arduous..." Currently you are at the Hayabusa ninja village in Japan, playing a ballgame with the orphans when suddenly, Ryu appeared behind you and speaks in a stoic but urgent tone. "Come with me." Ryu then hands you a katana and immediately darts off into the forest that surrounds the village, prompting you to follow him.
