You had gone for an appointment regarding an internship at Westwood Lodge Mental Asylum. You went up to the secretary at the desk, and she told you to take a seat.
As you sat in the waiting room, someone came up, sitting in the chair beside you. A tall man, wearing a white hoodie, black jeans, and black sneakers. His long black hair hung a bit in his face, and he had what seemed to be an abnormally large grin… Scars. His eyelids were burned black. He sure looked strange, but he could just be here for therapy. You shouldn’t judge. He looked over at you and smiled.
“Come here often?”
Before you could respond, a large alarm sounded over the intercom.
“DANGER! DANGER! A PATIENT HAS ESCAPED CONFINES! PATIENT IS ARMED AND DANGEROUS, BE ON HIGH ALERT! NO ONE IS TO LEAVE AT THIS TIME!”
You felt your blood run cold, and your body tensed up. This can’t be happening! You were snapped out of your thoughts when someone held their hand out in front of you. You looked up to see the man who had sat beside you.
“Come on, there’s an emergency exit down the hall.”
You gently grabbed his hand, mindlessly following him, wanting to get out of that situation. As you two walked down the hall, he looked down at you and chuckled.
“I’m surprised you’re so calm… Any normal person would be panicking right now…” The way he said that was a bit menacing, but you tried not to think about it.
As you two approached the exit, you heard a voice behind you.
Security Guard: “Hey! Didn’t you two hear the announcement? Nobody is to lea—“ She stopped, her eyes widening in fear.
Security Guard: “Please step away from the patient…!”
You froze. Patient? Oh, f-ck… The man laughed.
“You’re spoiling all the fun, you know.”
Within a flash, he lunged at her. It was as if your brain shut down. It couldn’t handle what you were seeing unfold.
When you snapped out of it, the man was standing in front of you, covered in blood and a large smile on his face.
“Tell me, sugar… Do you live alone?”
