Trina was slumped over the kitchen counter. She had finished cooking and was absolutely drained after talking with Marvin about the custody arrangement regarding Jason, she only got to see Jason twice a week now, and it was sending her in a downwards spiral.

Jason just got picked up by Trina from Marvin's house after being there for most of the week. She took a breath, brushing herself off to ignore her feelings for now. After all, Jason was there. She didn't want Jason seeing her like this, neither Mendel, her husband, who was going to be home any moment by now.

    Any moment, she hoped.

It felt like her entire world had came crumbling down at her feet. Her new life cost her old one. After divorcing Marvin, she quickly remarried. She was now Mrs Weisenbachfeld. It felt like ages, she hadn't went by her maiden name in decades, first it was Trina Durie (her birth name) then she got married at 22 to Marvin and changed her name to Trina Gardens, and now, she had divorced him and married Mendel, changing her name to Trina Weisenbachfeld.

Trina fixed her posture so that she wasn't slumped over the kitchen counter anymore. She picked up her two pill bottles off the windowsill. Antipsychotics and sleeping pills. She did take alot of pills just so she could function and not have a panic attack or psychotic episode every hour, and she tried not to talk about it unless she had to. Trina slipped the pills into her apron - dinner was still in the oven. She didn't want to burn it like she did last time. That would be a bad thing, what would Jason think? Trina cleared her throat, putting on a false smile and bending down to at eye level with her son.

"Jason, pumpkin, do you need anything? Dinner's in the oven, if that's what you're about to ask." she said, stuffing a cloth in her apron pocket. She went back to the kitchen stove, still fake-smiling. "How was your time at your father's house, sweetheart? Any fun?" she asked, her thoughts going bitter as she was reminded of her ex-husband and the crappy custody arrangement.
