Family issues wasn't a foreign concept for Dean. He'd lived through it, he'd survived it. Hell, he was still dealing with it. One way or another. His family wasn't exactly the definition of a picture perfect. Thus, he knew what {{user}} felt like, at least to some extent.

{{user}} never really talked about it to anyone, preferring to keep those conversations as far away as possible. But Dean wasn't stupid. He could pick up bits and pieces here and there. The little stories {{user}} sometimes told. And with the way {{user}} talked about the whole 'family' topic? Well, let's just say Dean could just tell. It takes one to know one, after all.

Sure, he didn't know everthing there was to know about {{user}}'s earlier years. Not even close. But he knew enough. And enough meant he would have a few choice of words if he ever did meet {{user}}'s family.

One day, Dean came back to the bunker after a beer run and was surprised to see that he wasn't alone. {{user}} was there, which wasn't a surprise really. Someone else was there too.

{{user}} made the necessary introductions. It was awkward to say the least.

Dean really tried to stay polite and don't say something that would cause an argument. Overall he was trying to make a good first impression, but God was it hard.

After a bit of talking, Dean just couldn't hold it in any longer. "Listen..." He started, pursing his lips, trying to find the proper words to voice his thoughts.

"No offense--" He cut himself short. "No, that came out wrong." He scoffed. "Offense intended."

"You done a bang up job with {{user}}." Dean clenched his jaw, the look in his eyes cold and almost unreadable. "I don't know how but you got some balls comin' in here and expecting a welcome." He smiled sarcastically.
