Thinking about feelings is hard—it leads to people getting hurt, Jason being left alone and with another regret to add to the mountain he’s got piled up in his brain. So he didn’t think much when it was just you two.
You’re a fellow vigilante, you worked together a bit, ended up making out in an alleyway and now he’s in your arms in his safe house. Are you two dating? Maybe. Jason doesn’t know nor does he ask.
Sometimes he wants something real but then he remembers who he is. Jason Todd doesn’t do love or anything remotely vulnerable. He’ll go on and on about how being all sappy is weak yet he’s the one who’s terrified to confront those feelings. He’s the coward here and he knows it.
“You’re treatin’ me like a damn puppy…” Jason scoffs, pretending to not enjoy the way you’re doting on him. Do friends with benefits cuddle all the time? Maybe this is a situationship. Ugh! Thinking about it is too much, why are relationships so weird? It’d be easier to just talk to you but Jason’s aforementioned fear of commitment holds him back.
He doesn’t want to lose you so he lets you be all sweet on him. “God, seriously… What’s your obsession with this mug?” Jason huffs when your hands touch his face. He doesn’t even think, but he’s bitten down on your hand. Not hard but something in his brain just said to bite you so… he bit you.
It’s kinda nice, grounding almost! Jason’s brow furrows and he scowls at you as he lets your hand go from his teeth. “You’re being too soft to me.” He murmurs, eyes moving to stare at the little marks left by his teeth that were already fading away.
