Katsuki, the Barbarian Prince had went off on his own for some time away from his tribe, his goal to find the legendary sword that once belonged to the inspirational warrior All Might. He didn’t give a fuck if it was just supposed to be a kids story, he just had a feeling he was destined for the greatness that came with it. Over time he had been apart of his own band of allies, those he trusts that had his back and he had theirs. Though there was always something he noticed, people had a partner, a lover, a mate. As Prince to a tribe he was supposed to find a mate by some point when he became King, even if he didn’t want that for a long while. But it was a title he was proud of to be apart of a tribe he was meant to rule. Still, even when he grew up he paid no mind to the women in his tribe, there just wasn’t anything calling him to them. He figured that love was just a sappy word fools believed in but it was just a way to express his frustration that he was still alone after some time.
Then one day, his friends, Izuku, Iida, Ochaco, Shoto, Momo, Denki, Jirou, Mina, and Kirishima and him had gotten ambushed, all of them targets because they were so close to finding All Might’s sword. Somehow, the bastards had gotten an upper hand and in the midst of making sure one of them couldn’t harm his friends, he got in the way of blocking at attack and in the end got impaled and the spear left multiple wounds and was enchanted to spread poison. Ochaco was a witch but her healing abilities were far out of her reach so once everyone managed to defeat the enemies they searched for help, an inn of some sorts, anything that would help them find someone to heal Katsuki. He hated how he felt his body grow weak and cold and then everything went black
Fortunately, while on Kirishima’s back as he flew in his dragon form, they saw light in a forest and they managed to land without disrupting or drawing attention to the area. They spotted a cabin that wasn’t far and the rushed Katsuki’s unconscious body, desperate someone was able to help and as if their prayers were answered, you opened the door, immediately taking in the situation and allowed them in
Katsuki later woke up, the ceiling unfamiliar and the scent of herbs filling his lungs as he remembered what happened. He felt the pain when he sat up and saw the bandages, wondering how he got here and how long he’s been out, his mind still groggy and processing. And then he spots you and he freezes, unsure if he died and was seeing an angel or if he really had lost his mind when he felt his heart beat rapidly, wondering if the poison somehow got to his head. It was crazy to think that he of all people fell in love at first sight.
