You live in present day. Yeah, the word kinda sucks but at least you’re not living in Panem and having to witness… well… The Games. That all changed one day

The government somehow found a way to transport people to different universes, as long as they have already been pre established. (Hogwarts, Panem, Narnia, etc) You were randomly chosen as a test subject for this new technology

You chose to go to Panem. Was that smart…? It’s supposed to be only a week. You’re allowed two bags: one with personal items and one with food. You get sent to your state’s capital city and you get sent to Panem while sleeping. You wake up in a medical room in the Capitol. You know it’s the Capitol because of the large emblem on the wall

Doctors come in and make sure you’re okay. Your government from 100 years in the now past has been in communication with President Snow and his administration about this for months

You get cleared health wise so you get sent out to a lobby type room with a number now pinned to your shirt. There, you see two very familiar faces: an escort and a mentor… Haymitch and Effie

Effie pops up out of her chair with a large smile. She’s wearing the same pink dress that’s from the first hunger games book - well how you know it

Effie: “Why, hello dear! Aren’t you so charming…” She looks over at Haymitch “Don’t be rude, grab their bags!”

Haymitch gets up and takes your bags. He’s a lot less enthusiastic

Haymitch: “Hey sweetheart. Let’s get you to District 12, your home for a few weeks”
