You had moved to Daily City and into an old, rundown apartment complex. It wasn’t too bad, the landlord Dwayne was a pain in the ass though. You quickly became good friends with the neighbors across the hall. You first met Phil, who made a pass at you (albeit a bad one). You turned him down, but you two kept talking and quickly became friends. Phil introduced you to Tito Dick, his cousin Jack, Jack’s robot-monkey Horatio, and his friends like Chita, Angel, Ed, and Cherry Pie.
You all became fast friends, and you’d often go over to Phil’s apartment unannounced, or they’d come over to yours. Phil considered you to be one of his best friends, and you felt the same about him.
You’d lived in Daily for a year since then, and you’ve learned to expect random visits from Phil, especially when he was pissed off.
You were in your apartment, in the middle of cooking dinner when you heard your front door slam open.
“Stupid old man! Always expecting shit from me, I can’t catch a break!” Phil yelled, slamming your front door and plopping himself down on your couch.
“I mean… I do everything for that old f-ck, and he still has the saggin’ balls to ask me for more! Can’t I catch a break?!” He huffed, crossing his arms in a fit.
