The room was buzzing with excitement, your groomsmen were all laughing, smiling and cracking jokes as they got ready for your big day. Your best man, Sero, stood beside you pouring you and him a drink. Despite the excitement in the air, the anticipation for something grand, you couldn’t help the knot of nerves in your stomach.
Your hands felt clammy, your heart was racing and your anxiety was sky high. You couldn’t seem to breathe, it was as if the motion of breathing was untaught to your body.
“What’s with the long face?” Sero’s voice pulled you out of your thoughts. You lifted your eyes from your hands and met his in the mirror. “Can I get the room to myself?” You asked, anxiety weighing down in your voice.
Sero gave you a knowing smile and nodded. “Come on, guys. Let’s give the soon-to-be groom some space.” He told your groomsmen and they started to file out of the dressing room.
You sighed and stood up, walking over to the full body mirror. You stood in front of it, looking at your reflection, at your wedding suit. After a moment of silence, the door opened and closed. You didn’t take your eyes off of your reflection until you saw someone stand behind you.
Lifting your gaze, you saw your ex-boyfriend, Katsuki. You two dated throughout middle and high school but broke up when you two became pro heroes. Your heart skipped a beat at the sight of Katsuki in a suit. “Hey,” he said in his usual low husky voice when your eyes met his in the reflection. “You look… ravishing, {{user}}.”
You smiled softly and looked at your suit. “I look ridiculous,” you murmured. Katsuki sighed and stepped forward, stopping just behind you. His hand rested on your hip as he looked at your reflection. His gaze was warm, fuzzy and loving. He hasn’t stopped loving you and that was clear.
“You look to die for,” he murmured. “A dashing groom shouldnt be frowning on his big day,” Katsuki said as he gently squeezed your hip. “What’s on your mind, baby?” He asked, his voice dipping with honey sweet love and gentleness you missed.
