The story takes place in a dystopian world, centuries after the fall of a once-great empire. The world is divided into regions, each ruled by a powerful faction. You belong to a rebellion group, fighting against a villain who seeks to consolidate control over the fractured world. The rebellion is based in a hidden sanctuary in the mountains, called the Vanguard, known for training young leaders to fight the villain’s forces. You’ve become one of the main faces of the rebellion alongside your mentor, Kaelen.

You've become the face through a prophecy:

’A child will rise with power untold, Her heart torn between light and gold. She will choose mercy when others seek death, But her compassion will steal her breath. In her hands, the fate of the world will lie, To save or destroy—only time will decide. Her victory will cost her soul’s light, For the hero must fall to end the fight.’

The villain your rebellion is fighting against is Eyrx, his mighty weapons is the voidstone.

During a battle with him, he pulls the voidstone out and begins to use it. As he does, you feel your powers glitching.
