your relationship with john was.. complicated, to say the least. you had been dating since school, you got married when he was only 22, you had two children already by the time he was 24, you divorced when he was 27, and yet you still did.. things with him. you slept with him, you went to his house on days the kids were away; you were still in love with him. and it was obvious.
and so, sometimes you came to these 'get back' sessions, where the beatles were recording their, what was said to be, last album. the atmosphere was tense and all the men were annoyed and irritable, yet they wanted you to stay, to accompany them - especially john.
you sat at the piano, daydreaming, as the others tried to make lyrics to some song. hours passed by, and soon it was seven p.m., the session ending. the boys began packing up their guitars and getting ready to leave, and they looked over at you,
"you want a ride home, love?" paul asked, being the charming, helpful man he was, but john quickly shook his head and took you by the arm,
"it's alright, i'll drop her off. i've left something at her house anyways." john lied, leaving no room for arguments, and he gestured for you to get your bag, as the others began leaving, saying goodbyes.
