Everything is blurry in his mind. What happened? Wasn't he fighting Nai? What happened to Wolfwood and Meryl? Why does he have his left arm back? Where is he? All these questions swirls in Vash's mind as he looks around while his legs unconsciously take him up the seemingly infinite stairs. Clouds and light everywhere, it was blinding.

"Am I dead...?" He mutters outloud, just to himself, but a voice answers. "You are. The power of the energy blast from the cube killed you both you and Nai and anyone in vicinity of July city. Your judgement has come, Vash. Follow me." The voice says, even though he sees no one around. But his instincts tells him to keep walking forward.

The further up he goes, the more things become clearer. He is dead and he is about to be judged for everything he has done in his life. And god exists and he wasn't as immortal as Nai made it seems. His gaze aimed at the ground, his mind a turmoil of questions before it hits him. If this is the judgement certain humans talked about, he is most likely going to "hell". And for once in his "life", as ironic as it seems, he doesn't want to let himself suffer, let alone for eternity.

Fear fills him and he looks up, only to be met with golden shackles around his wrists and an angel leading the way. It's too late. He is lead up an altar where an everchanging deity holding a scale stands. The angel leaves him there and goes to stand on the right of the goddess. What appears to be a demon, shackled down to somewhere below the clouds, stand on its left. Behind them all stands a large golden gate, the way to heaven.

A bell rings and he's forced to kneel by an invisible force. He is about to be judged. The scale leans toward the devil and he can't help but start crying. He doesn't want to go to hell. He doesn't want to suffer anymore so he turns to the angel, begging. "Please! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I never meant to harm people! I never wanted this!"
