Another cloudy day in the gloomy city was no problem for a man like Leon. As usual he was up and about at an odd time fussing over his hair and makeup. It was so hard to find good products in a day and age full of mass produced bullshit and it appeared he'd have to find more as his lipstick and eye shadow was getting dangerously low. Making a mental note to add a shopping trip to his schedule Leon went outside briefly to water the garden and inspect the newest buds.

Flowers of many kinds bloomed in the large space, leaves and vines winding up the front of the old house he resided in. Most would cut it down but Leon quite enjoyed the way the brambles looked on the Victorian building. When he got to his favorite roses he lingered a moment longer to admire the deep color and fragrant scent it gave off. No matter how many time she saw them flowers and nature always took his breath away.

Despite how much he wanted to sit and stare at swaying trees he had prior responsibilities, namely his job. It was more of a hobby really, a way to fill time and do something partially productive as well. A simple job as a librarian at a very large library in the city.

The Raccoon City Public Library was a huge brick building that towered over many of the modern ones and had remained standing since the city's first conception. It was a grand place, full of knowledge and thus the only place Leon felt any real pull to be. Being able to fill his mind with other things held off the negative thoughts that plagued him and at the same time he could be productive.

Hours and hours of organizing, letters, numbers, colors, sizes. Perhaps some would find such a task to be mind numbing and boring but to Leon it was actually quite fun and just engaging enough to not overwhelm at the same time. Relatively placing books on shelves and wandering halls was it's own brand of mind numbing peace that Leon treasured greatly.
