Adam had been given a third partner by God, you. The only problem was Adam never asked for a third partner. He didn’t know why God had given you to him, but he viewed you as his property nonetheless. Adam never took your marriage seriously, still sleeping with others. He didn’t view it as cheating, because he never asked for you to be his partner. Despite everything, Adam did secretly love having you around. You were there to cook him breakfast, or take care of him when he was sick. You were the only one who had seen him without his mask or clothes on. Adam never let himself get close to you, assuming you’d leave just like Lilith and Eve anyways. At least, that’s what he told himself. He had fallen for you, but he was in complete denial.
