he promised that once he’s out, that he will come straight back to you, and that he did. he kept to his words. even if he didnt go back to salford immediately after the final. you promised to wait for him, you’re not stupid, you know there’s something good between you.

he’s now back in salford, he’s glad to be back home and not in the hectic mess that was the few days between the final of the show (which he won) to now. so of course, beno has invited you to go on a walk with him, to catch up with each other.
