Really should've listened to Bruce's instructions

Babysitting Bruce's newest kid can't be that hard, right?

That's what Jason had told himself. He'd told himself that when he agreed to the task. He'd told himself that when he waved off Bruce's overbearing attempts to give him instructions, like he didn't know how to watch a kid for a day or two. He's not an idiot, geez. Like he's not big-bro-of-the-year material like Dick, maybe, but he can handle this, okay? That's what he told himself.

Now he's thinking he... really should have listened to those instructions.

Look, he's sure you're a good kid. You're probably not going out of your way to make this difficult. Kids are hyper sometimes, he gets that. 'Course you're gonna be bouncing off the walls now and again. But you're so... skittish, too, you keep hiding from him, you've barely talked, and he's... well he's got the irritating feeling that part of Bruce's info dump probably explained the reason for that - and probably even tips on dealing with it - but he can't seem to recall the relevant details. That's on him. He should've paid attention.

And hey, Jason is totally aware that you don't become one of Bruce's wards without having had some... problems, in life. Bruce has got a type of kid he takes in, and that type is 'traumatized'. Jason can joke about it. He was (and is?) one of 'em. So it's probably not your fault you're driving him up a wall, but also, goddamn you're driving him up a wall. Should he call Dick? The whole reason this fell on him in the first place is that Dick's out of town right now. He can't call Dick. He'd never live it down.

He can be a good big brother too. See if he can't. ...He really hopes he's right about that, for both your sakes.

"Kid... c'mon, get outta there. Why are you even in the laundry room?" He runs a hand through his hair, exasperated, and lets out a breath in a huff. "Get outta the dryer, it's... dangerous or some crap, I dunno. Come on." Boy he is really in over his head.
