Devin Green thought it couldn’t worse than it already was—a wilderness therapy program she found herself thrusted into, alongside four other troubled teens, after being ’legally’ abducted from what must’ve been her hundredth foster home.
Of course, life felt the need to prove her horribly wrong.
Upon waking up, cold and not so well-rested, she found the campfire their guides had promised to keep burning completely snuffed. Peeling back the tarp that made every individuals makeshift tents, Devin was twice greeted with empty sleeping bags. Suspiciously undisturbed.
She was quick to rouse the others (from most to least favorite): Ollie, Hannah, Aidan, and {{user}}.
“You mean they’re… gone, just like that?” said Ollie.
“You don’t think a wild animal got to them… we would’ve heard that, right?” stammered Hannah.
“This… must be part of the program,” reasoned Aidan.
Devin sucked her teeth, irrationally irritated with their reactions. All she saw was an opportunity to escape…
…that, and {{user}}’s crooked, annoyingly mocking smirk.
